New for the 2022-2023 season the IP program takes on a new look. We will now have a traditional 6U/Mini Mite program for 2016/2017 birth year players complimented by a LTP division for our newer skaters just starting out.
The 6U team (s) will be formed from the draft skate that will be held in the fall, but interested parents should select that option in the registration sign up. This team will practice 1x a week and play 1x game per week, along with traveling to other rinks against other similar 6U teams. While there is not a requirement to have hockey experience to sign up for this team, a player should have passed a basic learn to skate (SAM 1/2) type class.
Our LTP division will be open skaters ranging from 4-8 who have no or limited hockey experience. Skaters in this division should be able to move on their own and will have hopefully passed a SAM1/SAM2 type class. This division will practice 1 week day and 1 weekend day per week with a game every 3rd week against an internal team. Starting in January of the season, the LTP players will be split up into teams and play house games through the balance of year. Parents interested in this division should select in the registration.
All players will now be required to pay the LHA registration fee prior to the start of the season, so please do not delay in signing up.
The LTP division will remain a fixed cost for the season of $425 for Livonia Residents and $450 for non-residents. Your registration fee will be applied to that amount.
The 6U team(s) will switch to a monthly ice bill system similar to our Mite program which will give the players and coaches flexibilty to adjust the costs to the needs of the team. A portion of the registration fee will be rebated to the team to help defray those costs.
We will make every effort to have a girls only team or section based on the responses we get.
